This past week was a little crazy

This past week has been a little crazy for us.  Friday we found out Mike's grandpa had passed away, we celebrated Noah's birthday on Saturday, he was picked up by his dad on Sunday, and we left to go to St. George that night for the funeral.

Noah's birthday was fun, we had Emily and her family, and Bryan and Carly and baby Emma over for dinner and cupcakes.  Poor Noah had to wait FOREVER to open his presents and was getting pretty impatient near the end.  He was VERY excited when we finally let him open them.  He had a good time playing with his new hotwheels set, then got to stay up late sitting in his sleeping bag in the living room watching Monsters vs. Alien hopped up on candy and cake.

Mike and I had a good time visiting family in St. George.  We stayed with Mike's Uncle John and Aunt Jenny.  Finally got to meet his cousin Maddie's little girl Bella, who is the stinkin' cutest little girl.  The veiwing for Mike's grandpa was held on Monday, and the funeral services were Tuesday morning.  As sad as it was to watch the family say goodbye to there sweet patriarch, it was a very spiritually uplifting time as well.  The stories that were shared helped bring the family closer together, and renewed Mike and my desire to be sealed in the temple as a family one day.  Wednesday we went and saw the St. George temple and took a quick peek in the visitor's center before we left to come back home.  It was neat seeing how beautiful the temple grounds were and the peaceful feeling that surrounds it.

It's too bad we couldn't be there to celebrate Noah's birthday!
